A Window Into Your World....The Wedding Invitation

Good Evening Friends!

There are so many details of the wedding planning process that get me excited. But none more than the day I receive the invitation in the mail. This invite is your sneak peak into things to come. From some sheets of card stock you determine your style of dress and establish your expectations. I once heard some describe it as the window into the heart of the event. I couldn't agree more.

I know in this day and age many brides & grooms are cost conscious and in an effort to save money have turned to DIY projects to produce their wedding stationery. These DIY options have stepped up their game in recent years, and I am all for saving money. Yet the biggest misconception is that going to your local stationer or printer will be expensive. I spent most of today and all day Sunday at the National Stationery Show at the Jacob Javitz Center here in NYC (tomorrow's blog will provide more details about the show). Here I met with vendors who are doing there best to meet you where you are. There are a lot of cost effective options probably now more than ever before.

It is totally possible to be able to produce invitations for under $3.00 an invitation and still look elegant. Our experience at the show has allowed us to develop some great vendor relationships to provide cost friendly, and creative options. We are offering a 10% discount to already low merchandise for those who place their orders by August 31, 2009. You can call Great Event Planners at 888-815-3418 or email us at greateventplanner@yahoo.com please write 'Invite Blog Discount' in the subject line.

Look out for more Invitations tips throughout the week, and happy planning!
